Antenna upgrades
I have been using a FAN Dipole for 160/80/40m, which also performed decently on 30m, but I wasn’t completely satisfied with its performance. To be honest, it worked quite well, but I felt that its height of 10 meters above the ground in the middle wasn’t sufficient.
Additionally, I wanted to experiment and have an antenna that would be mostly usable with low SWR across all bands, eliminating the need for a tuner.
Therefore, I decided to purchase a vertical antenna, the GP5-SP, from a Polish manufacturer, SP7GXP. I already own their 5-band 3-element Yagi, which performs exceptionally well, and I have been impressed with the quality of the materials they use.
